Swahili Plate is more than a restaurant. It's a nice place to chill and unwind over a cup of tea or coffee. Either alone or while having a conversation with friends.
Nice place ever been.Deserves 6 stars
Swahili plate is the place to be for authentic Swahili dishes while in Nairobi. Located in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) the place is easy to find via google maps. Now, the food here is just right. Right amount of spice, generous portions and most importantly it is the only place in Nairobi where I have found authentic Swahili dishes that are only available in the costal towns like Mombasa. The staff is very friendly and they offer great recommendations. The ambience is great. Good decor and more seating space upstairs.

It's affordable and I'd recommend it 10/10.Kudos to Abdul for the great service he offered us. Y'all can ask for Abdul once youbget there. He's gonna give you the best experience
This is a HIDDEN GEM of a place! Huge portions at good price, delicious local food, and friendly staff (they even gave me dessert as a gift!). I was curious how it had such a low rating - it’s because of old reviews from 5 years ago. I will def be going back and recommending to all my friends!
